6/25 Update: 4 of the Glynn 9+ have transferred to Binky On Rabbit Rescue in Valdosta after being spayed. Daffodil has 3 healthy babies & Heidi has 4. Both moms are in Foster Homes. We still have 3 bunnies – Luke, Leia & Heather – who are hoping for foster or adoptive homes.
Have you met the Glynn 9+? A group of 9 rabbits rescued from a hoarding situation + the babies they’re having in their foster homes! Follow their story on Facebook! We need FOSTER HOMES, ADOPTERS & SUPPLIES!

Golden Isles House Rabbit Society, founded in 2017 as Golden Isles Rabbit Advocates, is an official Ally of the Georgia House Rabbit Society. We are an all-volunteer group providing education and support to owners of domestic rabbits in south Georgia. We’re happy to answer questions, speak to your class or group, staff a booth at your event and/or assist you in finding resources about pet rabbit care. SIGN UP FOR OUR NEWSLETTER & SPECIAL EMAILS!
If you know of a rabbit in distress, please contact us using this Email Form or call us at (912) 289-7761 and we will help to the best of our abilities. If you are a rescue group or shelter and have taken in a rabbit, let us know and we can help you network it for adoption and/or answer any questions you may have about its care. In southeast Georgia, we work with Island Animal Hospital for our rabbit’s medical needs.
In Glynn County, we have a rabbit “dump site” at Blythe Island Regional Park. The Georgia Animal Protection Act prohibits abandoning companion animals. By breaking the law, you could end up with 5 years of jail time & mandatory psychological counseling!
